Sunset Time
As a professional wedding photographer I must tell you that the 'right light' is one of the most important aspects of photography. You should plan your wedding photography around the sunset. It is at this time that the evening light close to sunset is softer, more saturated with colour, and generally, much better for your wedding photos.

The first thing that pops to mind when photographing newly weds at the location of their choice is "this nice warm light is going to look terrific in their wedding album." That's the reason I advise our couples to plan their photography around the sunset time and allocate at least 30 minutes for themselves for their sunset time photos.

This is a perfect time for location photos for two reasons: one is that a bride and a groom are relaxed knowing that all the fuss related to the wedding ceremony is behind them and that they can fully relax and enjoy the time in front of the camera and in such a lovely place. The second reason why this is the perfect time for photography is because the light is so soft and romantic that it is simply perfect for location photos as the sky is painted with thousands of colours.

When asked how long the couple should allow for location photos, I advise them to calculate the time based on the size of their bridal party, number of guests and the number of location they wish to visit. Generally speaking 60-90 minutes are enough to capture the essence of any location and to get you guys looking and feeling your best in front of the cameras.
