Do I need a Wedding Videographer to film my Wedding?
If the person you are going to marry doesn’t mean the world to you or you are planning to marry again or simply you have a photographic memory you do not need to capture your wedding day with a video camera. The wedding day passes so quickly (you won’t believe it if you haven’t experienced it) and in the end if you do not have a photographic memory you won’t remember much at all. We have heard our couples comment on how little they remember, just two weeks after their honeymoon! Imagine what it would be like years down the track.
If you’ve got a friend with a camcorder that is going to film your big day beware of the missing moments. What do you mean? A Friend is just a friend; you can’t expect him/her to film everything on your big day. He is firstly a guest and secondly a person with a video cam.
Imagine watching your ring exchange at the ceremony. Your wedding ring is on your finger and in the middle of the sequence you are putting the ring on the love of your life’s finger, the cam's battery goes flat , your friend decided this was the time to change the battery…there goes the rest of the ceremony. Or perhaps it was your gown that suffered; perhaps there was only one glimpse of your beautiful wedding gown in full length in all the footage. At the time of the speeches the footage was shaky. Oh god, can’t bear to watch it I’m starting to feel dizzy , lets’ fast forward to cake cutting and bridal waltz maybe they are not shaky!!! What bridal waltz?? Scary isn’t it?
If the person you are marrying means the world to you and you are planning to do it just once in your lifetime as most of us do, I strongly recommend video recording your wedding besides photographing it. Imagine what our grandparents would give to watch them dancing and laughing on their wedding day. They know the real value of memories. You’ve invested a lot of time and the money to make it perfect to gather the people you love around you and if you do not record it properly all your endeavor would not be remembered as it deserves.

I need to film the reception only!
I know, from the experience that some things on the wedding day turn differently than planned (The flower or the makeup artist is late or the limo is at the wrong address). It is sometimes annoying to the brides but in the end it adds up to the uniqueness to the wedding day. The wedding ring drops in the middle of ceremony and everyone laughs. Kids, while walking down the aisle, are so confused with people starring at them and if someone from the family doesn’t help them they appear to be moving in slow motion. The fathers of the bride, they are so proud and hide tears, but we catch them from the distance wiping their eyes. At the end of the ceremony everything is so clear, the couple is walking up the aisle and people are throwing petals on the newlyweds. This is my favourite moment of the ceremony.

Or maybe I do need to record my wedding ceremony only?
I love receptions. They are so relaxed. When the tables are clear the speeches start. We film the speakers at the lectern and the bride & the groom’s reaction all the time. There is nothing to be missed. After the speeches (if nothing important is going on) we go around the tables and ask the family and friends to say something nice to you guys. Throwing the bouquet and garter are unforgettable. Till now, I haven’t seen two couples do it the same. We use two HD video cams to capture absolutely everything.

How do we film the weddings?
We learned from the experience that the best way to film weddings is to do it the bride and the groom’s way. From the first meeting with the couple we establish what the bride and the groom want and how involved into the production of their wedding video they want to be. If they want us to get everything we start from the early morning (the time with a makeup artist, morning breaky, etc). In the name of fun and excitement we ask them to candidly tell us The bride & the groom’s story. We also ask the bride to say a few words to the groom.
If we film the groomsman at home we do that in more relaxed manner. This is our opportunity to make them relaxed in front of the cameras. We ask the groom to say a few nice words to the love of his life. The boys are usually stuck with words but we help them out.
Usually we film the groomsman at the ceremony place, before the bride arrives. At the same time we zoom and pan the ceremony venue, the guests’ arrival, mick-up the groom or the celebrant wirelessly and record the bride’s arrival.
At the wedding ceremony we record almost everything with two cameras. Long shots and close ups. We know that you will be excited to see every small detail and see yourself in full length walking and your dad & mum’s faces when you say I do.
After the wedding ceremony we film the group and the family shots and go to the location/s of your choice (following your photographer) to record the bridal party shooting. Very often we are giving you a “behind the scene perspective” as well as “small music video” feeling, which you will show to your friends with the pride.
Receptions start with the bridal entrance, speeches, interviews around the tables, cake cutting, bridal waltz, garter and bouquet throwing till the end to the farewell circle and the guard of honour.

Cinematic Wedding Video
The wedding is a very emotional experience for many couples and their families. In the initial consultations with our wedding couples we explain to them that is very important to record everything and in the end at the time of editing we can make any type of the movie they like. If they are not camera shy we encourage them to be involved in the movie production (see sample down below).
Anyway, we use two cam angles to get as much footage without interfering with the wedding flow and in the end we present the newlyweds with the choice of two different perspectives to choose from.

What cameras do you use?
Usually we film your wedding with 2 High definition JVC cams. We keep our cameras on tripods most of time to ensure steady shoots. It gives us 2 angles of your wedding day and when edited it provides you with a full picture. If requested we can record your wedding with any cameras you want. We can even film with Canon 5D Mark II.

I want to have My Choice of Music in my wedding video
Listening to songs that you do not like could spoil watching your wedding videos. We really do not want this to happen and therefore we recommend to our couples to supply us with their choice of music and tell us where they want them (ie. getting ready, wedding ceremony, location or reception).
It is very important to us to exceed your expectations .If you are interested to include your childhood, engagement or the images from the time you’ve met into your wedding video we assist you with the scanning of your photos or creation of the slideshow. This is a really good beginning of your wedding video. We call it “Memory Lane”, but it could also be named differently.
I want everything recorded on the day included in my video
It is your call to decide on the length of your wedding video. It could only be 45 min or you may want it to go for three hours (2 discs [Part 1 and Part 2]). We will make two personalized menus (one with the chapter selection and the second one as a main menu to get you straight into watching the entire wedding video).
In addition to this we will give you an uncut version of your wedding video where you will be able to see everything that was captured on the day.
Video Highlights
Wedding Video Highlights are snapshots of your wedding day. Again, the length of the video highlights depends of you. They are usually set on your bridal waltz song and could include wows. Wedding Video Highlights are optional [not a part of a wedding package] and when requested we give you three copies.
