Jasmin & Shareef 25/10/08
Words cannot describe the detail and effort that went on behind the scenes of Jasmin and Shareef’s wedding. For starters the henna, called Mehendi was applied to the bride’s hands. It looked fantastic. We couldn’t help ourselves we took so many shots of this as it seriously looks like a delicate piece of art, giving Andy Warhol a run for his money any day...
Then there is the gowns(yes there were two very colourful and gorgeous gowns). Both gowns were layered with sequence, delicate fabrics and then further enhanced with colourful jewellery. Jasmine looked like a jewel herself, she was absolutely stunning and you couldn’t take the smiles of both the bride and groom’s faces. After the ceremony we headed off to one of our favourite locations at Kangaroo Point to take a few city shots and lucky for us no storms were heading our way, unlike these days! It honestly could have not went any better, the picturesque Brisbane was striking, Jasmin and Shareef were very cooperative and enchanted with each other that the shoot went of with fireworks.
After such a long and festive day it was time for the reception, and a reception it was. Jasmin’s Uncle had spent the whole morning preparing the food for the reception and what yummy food it was… mmm.

Shirley & Anthony 14/11/08
We really looked forward to having this E-session, especially because Shirley & Anthony’s big day is just 15 sleeps away. When we came to the Rocks Riverside Park @ Jindalee we were very pleased with the place. There was a jam packed playground for Locki ( I was even considering playing on it, it looked that good) and there was also a river nearby for some lovely escape shots just for Shirley and Anthony. Nanny Pauline was there to look after Locki while Shirley & Anthony had some shots with just the two of them.
We tried to have this session much sooner, unfortunately whenever we rescheduled a new shooting time little Lachlan was sick and we had to postpone the session a few times, however on this day he was as healthy as any kid packed with red cordial and a jungle gym in his sight.
Today seemed to be just perfect for some family photos with Lachlan, nanny, and then Shirley and Anthony alone. We had great time taking photos of this lovely couple and their family. After having so much fun with them, we can’t wait to capture their big day!
Here are a few of my favs photos.

Lanayah Annual Celebration
Man do these people know how to celebrate, without a drop of alcohol too! November the 8th would mark the Lanayah Associations’ annual celebration, and a celebration it was. With gallons of food, a fashion parade, special guests and much, much dancing the whole day danced by like an Oscar awards ceremony. Here are a few shots we took of the day; although we were only hired for videography we couldn’t help it take a few happy snaps. If you want to see more images/clips please contact the studio.
Dance, dance with me, ...

The sexy models, including one of our own past brides Katumu (stunner in yellow dress)

The Farmer Wants a Wife
Ashley & Mick live and work in Perth but wanted to tie the knot in Brisbane surrounded by their family and friends. When we met with Ashley a few months ago, she really wanted a special location for her pre-wedding shots. Something that included a farm with rusty fences, old barns and full of animals, “the messier and rustier, the better” she said.
Now as you can imagine there aren’t that many farms around Brisbane, so this was going to be a challenge to find the location she was after. Luckily we were able to find a beautiful farm nearby thanks to city farmer Mr Murphy.
Ashley and Mick arrived to Brisbane just a week prior their big day, we had the E-session only three days before the big day and to make matters even more absurd it was our very first meeting with Mick [groom]. However this situation didn’t alter the fun filled atmosphere, we had great time together and they both looked so natural in front of camera. The following are just a few shots from this session. Mick was a single farmer looking for a wife and Ashley his damsel in distress. Hopefully they live ever after… stay tuned to find out, (the big day shots)…
Ready to pop the question
She is accepting
Happily ever after

Ashley & Mick 11/10/08
Truly unique, that would be the best words to describe the wedding of Ashley and Mick. There was nothing ordinary about it. For one the gown was designed specially for the extravagant bride, handcrafted with layers of silk and tulle. It would be the perfect dress for the boisterous bride, fitting her personality and setting the mood for the day.
Another very bizarre facet was one of the bridesmaids was a male, yes Simon, the dear friend of Ash would be the brides attendant and do it with the grace of any bridesmaid. High praise is in order - well done Simon. The other very unique aspect was where the bride and groom decided to have their location shots.
They had them at the place they met, some six years ago, McDonalds. You can just imagine the thoughts of the customers sitting in their stools, munching on their fries and happy meals and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, appear a bride and groom heading towards the counter. Not one pair of eyes would remain on their McDonalds treats; instead everyone was in awe at the originality of it all. However the excitement wasn’t over just yet. We headed off to the Powerhouse, where there were wedding parties all around us, but with the stunning bride in an oh-so-sexy gown, the beautiful bridesmaids, cheeky groomsmen and in-love groom, they were the hottest bridal party around. We all got a long so well, firstly with the bridal party; who had enough sense of humour without the need for beer, then with the family and friends of the bride and groom, who just loved being photographed and made our job soo much easier, so much so that we forgot we were working. Thanks a lot guys, we loved being a part of it all.

Rosemary & Dwight 27/09/08
This fun- loving couple has been together for 12 years now. For some reason they decided today would be the special day, and it really was. Surrounded by family, friends and their vast number of pets, they married in their Tamborine estate. Equipped with the fine touches of caring family and friends they transformed their new home into a lovely place for such a celebration.

It seemed the whole town was in on it and wanted to be invited, because as soon as we arrived at the location shooting, Rosie and Dwight were swamped with people offering congratulations. And why wouldn’t they be, because honestly it was so easy to fall in love with these guys; beautiful Rosie with her endearing personality and Dwight with his larrikin traits and ability to create barrels of laughs, it was just amazing. However when you meet Dwight’s family, you know where he gets it from, first the musicality with his band the Hot Rocks inherited from his musically gifted father; who sang for Rosie and Dwight as they danced their bridal Waltz. I think everyone watching from the sidelines wanted join in, I know I defiantly did. Man did it look like so much fun. Actually to put it in perspective the whole day was the same, romantic rolled up in loads of enjoyment. (Mmm sounds like chocolate, doesn’t it?) If only is didn’t have to end… Thank goodness for the photo’s that remind us it happened, I still laugh when I see them.

Cathie & James 21/9/08
Last week on September 21st, we had the honour to photograph Cathie & James’s wedding at Glengariff (Dayboro). We were amazed how wedding photography friendly this place is. Starting from the beautiful outlook, three gazebos, red shed with rustic doors, vineyards, antique furnished rooms, sunset and beautiful reception. Please take a look and judge for yourselves.

Carissa & Nathan 04/09/08
Our beautiful couple Carissa & Nathan comes from Toowoomba for their pre-wedding shots. MT Coot-tha botanical gardens was ideal for such shots. Unfortunately that Thursday morning was heavy rain and Carissa called and said whether we would postponed such shooting. We said what would happen if today was their wedding day instead. We wouldn’t postpone that, could we? Then we used the plan B and used coulourful umbrellas for some beautiful romantic shoots. Even we are confident that we can take really nice photos regardless of the rain, we also offered to them, in case if Carissa & Nathan are not happy with these engagement photos taken on the day to redo this session again in the near future. We entirely look forward to capture Carissa & Nathan’s wedding in October next year. They are going to tie the knot in the same church [St James Church] were did Carissa’s Mum and her Grandma got married. WOW, isn’t it great a family tradition?
